Guide – How To Start – Redis 3.2 Server for LINUX CentOS 7.8

The connection to Redis using Redis Desktop Manager through SSH Tunnel

  1. Go to the Redis Desktop Manager downloading page – Download
  2. To use the app click on “Sign up” button
  3. Finish the registration process. After that, confirm the email address, at the mail indicated at registration.
  4. At clicking on “Confirm e-mail” you’ll be redirected to the page of activation of the trial. Click on “Start Free 14-Days Trial”
    You need to confirm the e-mail address to start 14-days trial
  5. Download and install the app on your PC
    Start downloading Redis
  6. Start the app and click on “Connect to Redis Server”
    After installation you need to click Connect to Redis Server
  7. In the appeared window in the “Name” field specify the name of your connection
  8. Click the radio button near the “SSH Tunnel”
  9. In the “SSH Address” field enter the address of the virtual machine
  10. In the “Username” field type the username for the connection to the VM
  11. Activate the “Password” field by clicking the checkbox that is near
  12. In the “Password” field enter the password which was used to connect to the virtual machine before
    In the Password field please type your password
  13. Click on the “OK” button to connect.
