The guide how to connect to Pritunl – Self-hosted VPN Server on Ubuntu 20.04
1. To start the server, start the virtual machine through Azure.
To work, you need to open port 443 (TCP), port 80 (TCP), 14147 (UDP) in the network properties in the Azure firewall.
2. Install PuTTY. You can download PuTTY from the link – https://putty.org.ru/download.html Launch PuTTY.
3. On the home page, in the <Host Name> field, enter the IP address of the virtual machine and click <Open>
4. In the window that appears, click <Accept>.
5. In the console that opens, enter the username and password that were set during the creation of the virtual machine (the password you enter will not be displayed for security and privacy reasons). Press <Enter>
6. Enter sudo pritunl default-password. You will see your login and password
for authorization.
If the login and password are not displayed, enter the command sudo pritunl reset-password
7. Enter in a new window, in the address bar https: // IPofYourVM. Press <Enter>
8. If you have such a window, click on the fields indicated by the arrow
9. In the window that appears, enter the username and password that you generated in step 6
10. After logged in, you will see the <Initial Setup> window. In this window, be sure to change your username and password to stay safe. Click save
11. Now your virtual machine should work in a proper way.
