The guide how to use Packer on Windows Server 2016 Base

1. To connect to the virtual machine, run the program “Remote Desktop Connection”
2. Enter the ip address of the virtual machine in the field “Computer” and press “Connect”

3. Next, enter your username / password that you specified when creating the virtual machine

4. Launch the Packer console  in the remote desktop window displayed after connection

5. To verify that the virtual machine is running, enter the command:

> packer

6. To view the version of the virtual machine, enter the command:

> packer –version
